The last driver to win both Kansas races in the same season was Martin Truex, Jr., who pulled off that feat in 2017. Wallace was the last of the 16 drivers to qualify for the playoffs, but he owns three consecutive Top-10 finishes at Kansas Speedway. The fourth-place driver at the AdventHealth 400 in May was Bubba Wallace, who is the defending champion of the Hollywood Casino 400. Denny Hamlin won the May race at Kansas, defeating Larson and William Byron. The 28th race of the season heads to Kansas Speedway, which also marks the second race in the Sunflower State this season. Kyle Larson captured the opening playoff race at Darlington last weekend to give himself a nice edge heading into the final two races of the opening round. The NASCAR playoffs continue on Sunday in Kansas City, Kansas for the Hollywood Casino 400.
